Actuarial Analyst


This position affords an immediate opportunity to apply analytical, problem-solving, communication and technology skills that will contribute to the development of solutions to challenging client issues in a professional environment. Actuarial Analysts work independently as well as with a team to deliver consulting services to a broad and diverse range of defined benefit pension clients. Analysts are encouraged to engage in continual learning and development activities with the goal to advance to higher level positions, and are supported in pursuing progress toward actuarial accreditation through a competitive exam program and policy. Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain, reconcile and analyze census and financial data
  • Create and update valuation programs and spreadsheet applications
  • Assist with report preparation and government filings
  • Draft plan comparisons and participant notices
  • Prepare individual benefit calculations
  • Work with senior actuarial and consulting colleagues to support effective client presentations
  • Provide input to the development of solutions
  • Collaborate with other analysts to develop/improve data and project management
  • Technical research and information gathering


  • Strong background in mathematics and statistics with excellent research, data analysis, and problem-solving abilities
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse group
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Relevant computer skills and limited programming
  • Detail-oriented, excellent organizational skills, ability to work independently and to effectively multi-task to meet deadlines


  • Minimum of undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or related discipline
  • Completion of at least two actuarial exams preferred
  • Actuarial experience in a consulting environment is a plus
  • Candidate must be authorized to work in the U.S. long-term without sponsorship
